In our newly renovated third floor gallery space, we are pleased to present a selection of drawings and paintings by Edna Andrade that highlight the artist’s enduring connection to the rugged New England coastline. Having spent many summers on an island off Northeast Harbor, Maine, Andrade continuously studied the coastal geography and rock formations of the beaches, emphasizing the inherent structures and patterns of nature. On view are a series of watercolors, drawings and paintings completed in Maine in the 1990s and 2000s.
