Jennifer Bartlett

Jennifer Bartlett's Four Right Angles (1972) is currently on view at the Princeton University Art Museum, having been recently acquired for their permanent collection. Representative of her signature plate works, the piece encompasses forty 12 x 12 inch steel plates silkscreened with a grid and painted with enamel. In these early minimal pieces Bartlett utilized system-based organizational schemes, creating a style marked by an analytical coolness and rhythmic patterns.
